What is the Summer Program for Kids?

Camp YBA (Yellow Bus ABA) is an 8 week  day program for children with ASD and challenging behavior. The program is geared for children ages 2-12.  Children are grouped by age and skill level. 

What are the benefits of YBA?

Our goal is to help children improve social skills while spending entertaining days during summer vacation with peers. Campers will enjoy a plethora of outdoor activities.  The  purpose is to provide a safe, supported and fun day camp experience for children, who need extra support in being successful at social skills while having fun.

Our social skills curriculum will focus on teaching new social skills  in an enjoyable and safe environment. 

What are some of the skills that will be addressed?

1)language pragmatics and conversational skills

2)cooperative play

3)dealing with one’s own feelings, dealing with other’s feelings

4)dealing with conflict

5) empathy

5) friendship management

Who works with the children in the program?

Our low staff-to-child ratio of 1:3 allows us to be highly responsive to each child's needs. Our superb team includes RBT's who undergo training under the leadership of highly skilled BCBA's.The groups will be run by our professional staff and supervised by a BCBA.  

Where is YBA located? 

Conveniently located in the suburbs of Bergen County in New Jersey

What are the dates and times?

Monday through Friday 

9:00am - 3:00pm

Is transportation provided?

At this point  we do not provide transportation.

How do I know if my child is eligible for camp YBA?

We are in network with all major insurances which may assist a child with a diagnosis of ASD towards camp fees.
