What is Autism?
Autism is a neurodevelopmental disorder characterized by impaired social interaction, impaired verbal and non-verbal communication, and restricted and repetitive behavior. It is also commonly referred to as Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD).
What are some common symptoms of autism?
Children with Autism typically have difficulties interacting socially and expressing themselves both verbally and nonverbally. They may also engage in repetitive behaviors.
How old does my child need to be in order to be eligible for these services?
Yellow Bus ABA accepts children aged 2-21 years old.
Does behavioral therapy take away from the Board of Education services?
You can be confident making full use of all available services without worrying it will take away from Board of Education services, & are not affected by insurance-based services.
Where do these services take place?
Yellow Bus ABA works at your convenience to accommodate any scheduling concerns you may have. Our team of BCBAs will work with your child at school, at home, or in our center.
Do services run through the summer as well?
At Yellow Bus ABA, we believe continued services through the summer & in camps is essential to achieving our goal of gaining independent social integration for each child – to that end, we can even send a BCBA along with your child when you vacation at your summer residence or elsewhere.
